Besides our regular series, we take part in festivals and events where we show what digital fabrication can do, and we run courses for the public. Here is a selection of the ones we keep coming back to.
Maker Faire Prague
We regularly take part in the largest showcase of DIYers, inventors and makers in the Czech Republic. In previous years we have prepared a zone for hardware startups, a mock accelerator and an exhibition of art projects we collaborated on.
- Videoreport: Hardware startup zone at Maker Faire Prague 2022
- Dry run accelerator at Maker Faire Prague
Signal Festival
We have a long-standing collaboration with the Signal light festival. Together we run the Signal Calling open call for authors of light installations and help selected projects from design to realisation. This is how installations such as Reflexe, Nexus, Audire Fluctus and OKO came about.
- Reflexe: A mirror installation for Signal Festival 2019
- Nexus: A modular light installation for Signal Festival
- Audire Fluctus: A sculpture that reveals the invisible world
- OKO: The machine that never stops watching you
Future Gate
Every year we make original awards for the sci-fi film festival Future Gate, combining 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting and electronics. The collaboration began in 2018 with the festival’s entrance gate, and we have been making the awards since 2020. Special awards from PrusaLab have been presented to Terry Gilliam and Nicholas Meyer, among others.
- A Vulcan salute from a 3D printer: a special award for Nicholas Meyer at Future Gate 2026
- PrusaLab and Future Gate: Technology and Sci-Fi Films for the Fourth Year
Courses and workshops
We also run courses for the public. We keep returning to the Rhino + Grasshopper course with architect and designer Petr Vacek, where participants learn the basics of parametric modelling. We announce course and workshop dates in our News.
You can find an overview of all past events in the category Events.
