We are opening a new intensive Rhino + Grasshopper course at PrusaLab focused on the fundamentals of parametric modelling and contemporary digital design.
The course is intended for anyone who already has at least basic experience with 3D modelling and wants to take it further. Parametric modelling makes it possible to work with a design as a system in which changing the input parameters allows you to quickly adjust the entire result. This is useful when working with complex geometry, quickly exploring design variants, automating repetitive steps and preparing data for production.
During three sessions, participants will be introduced to the basics of Rhino 3D and Grasshopper. The aim of the course is not to cover all the possibilities of these tools, but to provide a solid foundation, an understanding of the principles, and a way of thinking upon which they can build independently in the future.
The course will be led by architect and designer Petr Vacek, who has long worked with computational design, digital fabrication, robotics, and complex geometry. In his work, he connects architecture, design, technological art, programming, and traditional craftsmanship. He will thus show participants not only software operation, but above all a practical approach to parametric design.
The course is suitable for architects, designers, students, makers, engineers, jewellers, product creators and professionals from research or academic backgrounds.
