What happens when you laser-engrave beautiful artistic portraits onto a large-format transparent backing and place them in the industrial setting of the Old Laundry in the General University Hospital complex in Prague? The best way to find out is to see for yourself at the exhibition by Alžběta Jungrová, “Já věřím (I Believe)“.
For this and Alžběta Jungrová's previous exhibition, we used our CO2 laser to engrave around 20 large-format photographs. The transparent backing extends the overall experience of the viewer with the influence of the surroundings, especially the play of light and shadow. The lower resolution of the laser creates a texture reminiscent of film grain, so it is not a drawback at all.
