Josef Průša is launching an accelerator for Czech tech projects and startups in his PrusaLab workshop
The Prague hi-tech workshop of Josef Průša, a Czech entrepreneur in the field of 3D printing, is announcing
first round of the acceleration programme. It offers innovative hardware projects not only
technological background and mentoring, as well as an initial investment of up to CZK 150,000.
Interested parties from among makers, artists, companies and startups can submit an application until the 30th.

PrusaLab will provide its capacities to commercial, artistic and educational projects
character. The condition is innovation potential and at least partial accessibility of the project
formou open-source. Participants will get space for product realization in the workshop premises, where
can make full use of 3D printing technologies, CNC machining centres or, for example,
industrial laser.
„One of the main assets of the acceleration programme is the diverse group of experts in
digital fabrication, which will collaborate on the products. In the team we have experienced electronics
developers, designers, engineers, project managers and of course 3D modellers and
printer,”, says PrusaLab manager Ondřej Kašpárek.
Applicants can register for the programme with products already under development, but also with projects in the stage
idea. The implementation period for the first round of the accelerator can take up to 6 months, during
with which PrusaLab is prepared to design the resulting product in cooperation with the participants,
to prototype, test and officially release.
The prototype workshop is launching a programme in response to the coronavirus epidemic, which has made it impossible
existing member operations.„Before the crisis, a number of members passed through PrusaLab, who thanks to our
background started their own business. Our accelerator is a way to workshop in these unfavourable
times to reopen to the Czech creative community,”adds Kašpárek.
