Smart cattle tags, inflatable roller skates and energy-saving linear projectors – the 2nd cohort of the accelerator concluded with a Demo Day
On Tuesday, we successfully concluded the second run of our PrusaLab hardware accelerator, once again with a festive Demo Day. Representatives of three projects presented their products to investors and the media, including live demonstrations.
FlockLock – smart tags for grazing cattle

They track the location, activity and health of the animal, and the mobile app that is part of the solution alerts farmers to potential risks such as theft, reduced activity or straying. The student team had already validated the concept in their bachelor's thesis. This was followed by an intensive acceleration phase, resulting in a working prototype, a custom board with printed circuits, a viable mobile app and their own algorithm for evaluating livestock data.
Last Miles – inflatable inline skates

They slip directly over the shoeand wrap tightly around it once inflated. When folded, they fit into a standard backpack and can serve as an alternative for getting around the city quickly or when travelling.
The joint development resulted in manufacturing jigs for the inflatable sleeve and a concept for a folding frame with wheels. The compressor, originally built into the skate chassis, was replaced by an external electric pump, making Last Miles compatible with readily available roller skate components.
We are now working to get the product to the first customers, who supported Last Miles in a crowdfunding campaign on Hithit, as soon as possible.
Goboline – smart line projectors

Rounding off the trio of this year's graduates is the startup Goboline with its smart line projectors for warehouses and shops.
In a nutshell: instead of the standard circle, their innovative projector shines in lines, which makes it many times more efficient. Especially in warehouses, which make extensive use of line floor markings, the Goboline system means big financial savings. What's more, the whole system is connected and the smart floor markings can, for example, interactively show forklift drivers where to take a load while warning pedestrians of an approaching forklift in good time.
Together in the accelerator, we managed to build and test a working prototype – and next up is testing in real-world operation.
