As he himself says: \u201cThe budget can change dynamically from week to week, but if you run out of capital, in most cases it will mean the end of the startup.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key mentoring areas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00edzek offers startups <strong>three basic blocks<\/strong>to help them find their way around a company's financial management:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fundamentals of financial management:<\/strong> employment law, managerial accounting, controlling and administration setup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The practical side of finance:<\/strong> budget preparation, cash flow management and organisational structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strategic planning:<\/strong> PEST analysis and preparation for the Accelerator Demo Day pitch to investors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Everybody does everything, but is that a good thing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Startups start out in small teams, where <strong>the founders often take on less specialised tasks such as handling administration, invoicing or bookkeeping<\/strong>. But that means less time for the product, business and growth. \u201cConsider what you are strong at, consider where your place is in the company, and do not be afraid to invest, even through outsourcing, in areas where you are not strong.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you don't know, ask<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00edzek points out that many founders <strong>are afraid to admit that they don't know something<\/strong>. This can come back to bite them once the company is actually up and running. \u201cWhenever I'm not sure, the accelerator is exactly the environment where someone will always help me \u2013 and if they can't, because the expertise isn't here, at least the problem gets identified and can be dealt with.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/en\/akcelerator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PrusaLab hardware accelerator<\/a><\/strong> offers startups not only technological facilities and a development team, but also comprehensive mentoring in key business areas.
