His big dream was <strong>his own 3D printer<\/strong> and we were to teach him how to use it. Under normal circumstances nothing complicated, but Jakub's <strong>illness<\/strong> has left him almost completely <strong>immobilised<\/strong>, including his hands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"gb-block-image gb-block-image-043fb42b\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"gb-image gb-image-043fb42b\" src=\"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/220223ZlataRybkaIMG_0680.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"220223ZlataRybkaIMG_0680\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-0a56344a gb-headline-text\">What to do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommended using a<strong> tablet<\/strong> attached to the bed with a positioning arm, on which he can create,<strong> download<\/strong> and<strong>\u00a0prepare 3D models<\/strong> for printing just by moving his fingers. However, with the actual <strong>operation<\/strong> of the printer, Kuba has to be<strong> helped <\/strong>by his<strong> carers <\/strong>from the Jedli\u010dka Institute, whom we trained directly <strong>on site<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSome wishes can be a bit tricky,\u201d says Karin Posp\u00ed\u0161ilov\u00e1, director of Zlat\u00e1 rybka. \u201cBut the guys from PrusaLab approached the whole thing absolutely brilliantly. They patiently listened to what the wish was and what options Jakub has given the specifics of his illness. They didn't hesitate to come to his home repeatedly and introduce him and his loved ones to the secrets of 3D printing. The crowning moment was when the company donated the printer along with accessories and Kuba was promised technical support whenever he needs it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This challenging task was also valuable for us, as we learned a lot from solving it. It allowed us to test what difficulties disabled users of our printers may face, and we shared these findings with the development department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"gb-block-image gb-block-image-b39389fb\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"gb-image gb-image-b39389fb\" src=\"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/220223ZlataRybkaIMG_0689.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"220223ZlataRybkaIMG_0689\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-48615801 gb-headline-text\">First prints<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jakub shared his first printing attempts with us. Some he downloaded from the internet, but there are already some among them that he<strong> modelled himself<\/strong>.
