{"id":37541,"date":"2026-07-22T07:59:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T07:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/?page_id=37541"},"modified":"2026-07-22T07:59:54","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T07:59:54","slug":"vseobecne-podminky-uzivani-prusalabu","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/en\/vseobecne-podminky-uzivani-prusalabu\/","title":{"rendered":"General Terms of Use of PrusaLab"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div data-vc-full-width=\"true\" data-vc-full-width-temp=\"true\" data-vc-full-width-init=\"false\" class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_custom_1771595021872 vc_row-has-fill vc_column-gap-35 vc_row-o-content-middle vc_row-flex wd-rs-699864f28a0f6\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t<div id=\"wd-6a60784d75881\" class=\"title-wrapper wd-wpb wd-set-mb reset-last-child  wd-rs-6a60784d75881 wd-title-color-default wd-title-style-default text-center nadpis1 vc_custom_1784707153360 wd-width-enabled wd-underline-colored\" style=\"--wd-max-width: 90%;\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"liner-continer\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"woodmart-title-container title  wd-font-weight- wd-fontsize-xxxl\" >General Terms of Use of PrusaLab<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"wd-6a60786600c05\" class=\"wd-text-block wd-wpb reset-last-child wd-rs-6a60786600c05 text-left\">\n\t\t\t<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>General provisions<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The subject matter of these general terms and conditions is the rules relating to all activities carried out on the premises of the \u201cPrusaLab\u201d open workshop (hereinafter also referred to as the \u201cLab\u201d).<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPrusaLab is operated by Prusa Research a.s., Company ID: 06649114, with its registered office at Partyz\u00e1nsk\u00e1 188\/7a, 17000 Prague 7 (hereinafter referred to as the \u201doperator\u201c).<\/li>\n<li>These terms and conditions apply to all persons participating in activities on the premises of \u201cPrusaLab\u201d.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Basic concepts<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>PrusaLab<\/strong>\u00a0(Lab): A workshop where, provided all conditions of use are observed, all technical equipment available here in the form of machines and tools can be used for the needs of Lab members and employees of Prusa Research a.s.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lab Space<\/strong>The premises where the open workshop is located. This area begins with an entrance through a door with a card sensor. In the case of a course or lecture, participants enter the training room area (hereinafter also referred to as the \u201cDeck\u201d). It also includes a kitchenette and sanitary facilities, followed by individual workshops (workstations).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kitchenette<\/strong>It is a space containing a fitted kitchen unit and a bar, which serve for refreshments for members, non-members and employees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Active member<\/strong>A person over 18 years of age, with legal capacity, who by signing the contract enters into a contractual relationship with the operator regarding the use of the workshop and simultaneously pays the membership fee for a specific, predetermined period \u2013 a so-called activated membership. An integral part of the contract is consent to these general terms and conditions. If the member is a child, the contract and consent are signed by a legal representative.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inactive member<\/strong>: A person whose membership fee has expired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-member<\/strong>A person who does not have an established membership. They must not enter the Lab premises unaccompanied by a Master or PR employee. Before entering the workshop premises, they are properly instructed on the potential risks within the Lab premises. (For safety reasons, a person under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian (children under 15) or a Master (children aged 15-18), who is responsible for them for the entire duration of their stay in the Lab).<\/li>\n<li><strong>An employee of Prusa Research a.s. (hereinafter referred to as the \u201cPR Employee\u201d)<\/strong>A person who is in a contractual relationship with Prusa Research a.s. They have their own registration card and fulfil the employer's tasks. (For an employee who comes to the Lab in their free time or at a time designated for members, the same rules apply as for an active member.) Before entering the Lab, every employee is required to undergo training regarding conduct and compliance with general safety rules, internal safety and fire safety rules, and machine operation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Agreement (Member Registration) on the Use of the Workshop and Safety and Fire Protection Instructions<\/strong>: an agreement between the Lab user and the operator governing the regime of use of the Lab by the user, prices and payment terms for the use of the Lab, etc. By concluding the usage agreement, the operator allows the user to use the workshop and its equipment and accessories for the purpose of carrying out the activities specified in the workshop usage agreement, under the conditions and to the extent agreed in the workshop usage agreement.<\/li>\n<li><strong>General safety and fire regulations<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>at PrusaLab<\/strong>Documents concerning occupational health and safety, fire protection and code of conduct in PrusaLab. These conditions must be observed by everyone moving around the Lab premises.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workshops (stations)<\/strong>individual sections of the Lab with various workshop equipment (3D printing corner, manual workshop, electronics lab, CNC machining centre, laser, router, airbrush corner). Each of the workshops (stations) has a responsible person \u2013 a Master \u2013 who is responsible for maintenance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Master<\/strong>person in charge of workshop (or station) operations at a given time, providing expert assistance to members. Issues materials. Prepares documentation for payment of services used by the member.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lecturer\/Trainer<\/strong>a person who leads a specific workshop or training session that is approved or organised by PrusaLab or the operator.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loans register<\/strong>There is a document, located in the reception area, in which Lab employees and PR employees record tools they borrow from the lab premises. Every loan by PR employees must be approved in advance by the PrusaLab Master.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Membership card<\/strong>It is a card allowing the identification of a person who has entered into a contractual relationship (containing the membership application and supporting documents) with the open workshop (Lab). The card is also used for opening individual doors (card readers) in the Lab premises. Mandatory training applies to the authorisation to open individual doors. The loss of a membership card and the issuance of a new one is charged at 250 CZK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Types of use and basic conditions\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Member<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After receiving training and passing the tests, there is the opportunity to work with the tools and machines available in the Lab. The individual workshops (stations) are described in Chapter 4.<\/li>\n<li>A member has the option to use the Lab's services in accordance with conditions agreed upon in advance with the workshop supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>After obtaining membership, the member will receive a membership card, which will allow them access to PrusaLab, or to individual workshops (stations) and their operation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use of the lab is only possible under constant supervision and with the expert assistance of the Master.<\/strong>, and this having regard to his schedule.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The member is required to complete health and safety (OHS) and fire prevention (FP) training, as well as operational training for each item of machinery they will be using.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A member may use the kitchenette and washrooms.<\/li>\n<li>The option to store work-in-progress projects\/products is described in Chapter 9.<\/li>\n<li>Members are entitled to discounted prices for events organised by PrusaLab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-member<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Before entering the lab, non-members are briefed on health and safety and lab conduct.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Without the company of a Master or a PR employee, a non-member may not enter the Lab premises.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A non-member must not manipulate the machines or tools available in the Lab in any way.\u00a0<\/strong>The only exception is the use of machinery and tools as part of training for non-members, which takes place under the supervision of a trainer.<\/li>\n<li>A non-member has the option to use the kitchenette and toilet facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility of custom manufacturing enquiries for machines located in the Lab premises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employee<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An employee has the right to use the Lab outside of working hours (however, always only if at least one of the Masters is present in the Lab). The same rules apply to them as to an active member.<\/li>\n<li>After training, the employee has the opportunity to work with the tools and machines available in the Lab. The individual workshops (stations) are described in Chapter 4.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The employee is required to complete mandatory safety training and training on the operation of individual machinery.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The employee has access to a kitchenette and sanitary facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Course participant (hereinafter referred to as the \u201cparticipant\u201d)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The course participant moves exclusively within the training room area (deck). However, if other training areas are specified by the instructor, the participant shall observe all safety and fire regulations and instructions, which the instructor is obliged to communicate orally\/in writing to the participant before arriving at a workplace other than the training room.<\/li>\n<li>The course participant has access to a kitchenette and toilets.<\/li>\n<li>Unaccompanied by a Master or PR staff member, participants are not permitted to enter the Lab workshop premises.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participants must not tamper in any way with the machinery or tools available in the Lab unless they have been properly trained in advance by the Workshop Supervisor or course instructor.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>List of workshops (stations) and their contents\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3D printing corner<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the facility contains FDM and SLA printers. Separate training for FDM and SLA printers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Handicraft workshop<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Basic hand tools (non-electrical), fasteners, abrasives, cordless screwdriver, heat gun, glue gun.<br \/>\nBasic power tools (random orbital sander, cordless screwdrivers, pillar drill, impact driver, rotary multi-tool, pneumatic stapler).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lab under Steam<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Advanced power tools (jigsaw, bench grinder, (hand-held) router, angle grinder, circular saw, reciprocating saw, band saw, mitre saw and plunge saw).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CNC router Kone\u010dn\u00fd with a working area of 1 x 2 m. This machine has separate training.<\/li>\n<li>Panel saw. This machine requires separate training.<\/li>\n<li>Welding station<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Painting corner<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Post-processing workstation for products. Includes an airbrush with compressor and a spray booth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electrolab<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The workshop contains a heat gun, an SMT station, soldering irons, Raspberry Pi kits, ESP32 kits, Arduino kits, electronic components \u2013 capacitors, resistors, transistors, and a PCB milling machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Laser\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 The Thunder Laser Nova 63 CO2 laser plotter is equipped with a 100 W RF tube. This machine requires separate training.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CNC machining centre<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The workshop is accessible only to authorised PR employees. It includes a CNC milling machine and a lathe.<\/li>\n<li>More detailed information about the machines \u2013 should you require more detailed information, please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@prusalab.cz\">info@prusalab.cz<\/a>. Manuals for the individual machines are available in the Lab in hard copy or for download at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/en\/\">www.prusalab.cz<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Booking system\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prior reservation via the website is required for work on the Laser and Router stations\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prusalab.cz\/en\/\">www.prusalab.cz<\/a>, in case of malfunction via email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@prusalab.cz\">info@prusalab.cz<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the booking will be charged at the full rate. The fee for bookings cancelled more than 24 hours in advance will be refunded.<\/li>\n<li>Reservation cancellation can be made by telephone, on the website, or via the email address during membership hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>PrusaLab General Rules\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The general terms and conditions are binding on all persons moving within the premises of the Lab.<\/li>\n<li>Work in the Lab is permitted only for PR employees, PrusaLab employees, active members, or participants of courses and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>General safety and fire regulations and conduct in PrusaLab\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To enter PrusaLab, use only designated routes, walkways, entrances, and exits.<\/li>\n<li>Entry into other areas of the Prusa Research company (i.e. outside PrusaLab and the adjacent toilets and kitchenette) is prohibited.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out your work in such a way as not to endanger your own health or that of others.<\/li>\n<li>Notify Lab employees immediately of any identified defect that could cause an injury, fire or other damage.<\/li>\n<li>Entry to electrical substations is permitted only to authorised persons; any interference with electrical substations by other persons is strictly prohibited.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Members are obliged to participate in briefings and training sessions in the interest of health and safety at work and fire protection.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Access to the Lab workshops is only permitted in closed-toe shoes with reinforced toe caps.<\/li>\n<li>Use personal protective equipment while working, otherwise you risk serious harm to your health.<\/li>\n<li>Only use personal protective equipment for work that requires it. It is forbidden to use this equipment for other purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarise yourself with the location of the first aid kit. Help the injured person and take part in providing first aid.<\/li>\n<li>It is everyone's duty to respect safety signage.<\/li>\n<li>Before working with chemical substances, thoroughly familiarise yourself with the safety data sheet\u00a0<strong>(available by the chemical cabinet or by the foreman)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Prohibition against bringing your own hazardous chemical substances and agents (HCSAs) into PrusaLab.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the clearance profile for vehicles and pedestrians (90 cm).<\/li>\n<li>Persons under 18 years of age may only enter if accompanied by a legal guardian who is responsible for them. (If the legal guardian gives written consent, a child older than 12 and younger than 15 may move around the kitchen area, sanitary facilities, the Deck and the 3D printing corner under the supervision of a supervisor (i.e. without the legal guardian). However, they do not have independent access to other workshops (stations). And if the legal guardian gives written consent, a child older than 15 and younger than 18 may move around all areas of the Lab under the supervision of a supervisor (i.e. without the legal guardian).<\/li>\n<li><strong>The consumption of alcoholic beverages and the use of addictive substances in the workplace, as well as entering the premises under the influence of these substances, is prohibited.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Report every injury immediately to the Labe crew<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Do not walk under a suspended load.<\/li>\n<li>It is prohibited to store any material near electrical switchboards or fire extinguishers. Keep walkways clear around electrical equipment.<\/li>\n<li>The areas around the serviced machines must be kept clear, and no unnecessary material that could restrict the safe execution of work may be stored near the machines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep your workplace tidy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Repairs to electrical and machinery equipment may only be carried out by a designated person. Never attempt to repair a machine or tool yourself.<\/li>\n<li>Do not damage or remove protective devices (guard on the pillar drill, laser lid safety interlock, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Do not dismantle machinery or machine accessories, and do not remove items from the workplace premises.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Entry to the Lab premises is at your own risk<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If any injury to health (including psychological) is caused to you within the Lab premises, whether by your own fault or that of another, the operator is in no way responsible for this event.<\/li>\n<li>Entry requires induction on general safety and fire regulations (fire alarm instructions, evacuation plan)<\/li>\n<li>Smoking and the handling of open flames are strictly prohibited in all areas.<\/li>\n<li>When using machines\/tools, these items are only lent to you for your use. In the event of damage to a machine caused by an incorrect working procedure, failure to comply with OHS and fire safety rules, or failure to comply with general safety regulations, you bear full financial liability for this item.<\/li>\n<li>In the event of a breach of these rules or failure to obey PrusaLab staff, you may be asked and subsequently ordered to leave the Lab premises.<\/li>\n<li>If you are unsure about your workflow or the use of a machine\/tool, ask the Lab crew. This helps prevent potential injury or material damage.<\/li>\n<li>Prusa Research a.s. is not responsible for\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your belongings that you leave at the workplace.<\/li>\n<li>for the things you want to modify\/machine and the resulting outcome.<\/li>\n<li>for the performance of works\/services at agreed time intervals or time delays in connection with the given contract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Prusa Research a.s., and its subordinate facility PrusaLab, reserve the right to close the facility for an indefinite period at any time in connection with reconstruction or an exceptional situation. You will be notified of this fact.<\/li>\n<li>Prusa Research a.s. cannot guarantee that it will provide you with the given product or service if circumstances do not permit (time constraints, material availability, securing machinery, securing personnel\u2026).<\/li>\n<li>Prohibition of dogs or other pets that pose a threat to the operation of the Lab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Data protection\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Members' personal data is always stored in accordance with applicable legal regulations, i.e. Act No. 101\/2000 Coll. (the Personal Data Protection Act) and, with effect from 25 May 2018, also EU Regulation 2016\/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation), which in certain respects will replace the provisions of the Act.<\/li>\n<li>By concluding the Lab usage agreement and the safety briefing, the user grants the operator consent to the processing and collection of their personal data in the operator's database until such time as they express their disagreement with this processing in writing.<\/li>\n<li>The user acknowledges that they are obliged to provide their personal data correctly and truthfully, and that they are obliged to inform the operator without undue delay of any change to their personal data.<\/li>\n<li>By signing, you confirm that Prusa Research a.s. may take photographs of you at various events and workshops, and subsequently publish these photos on social media. If you explicitly do not wish this, please inform us before confirming the document with your signature.<\/li>\n<li>To improve communication between you and our company, you are providing your email address and, by your signature, agreeing to the sending of commercial communications, information regarding operational changes or changes to this document, or any appendices thereto.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Storage in the PrusaLab premises\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0Subject to available capacity, it is possible, by arrangement with the workshop supervisor, to store an unfinished project on the Lab premises, entirely at one's own risk. The space for storage shall be designated to the member or employee of PR by the supervisor or a Lab employee. Lab staff reserve the right to refuse storage of an unfinished project for capacity or other serious reasons.<\/li>\n<li>If necessary, the operator's staff are authorised to change the location or storage method of stored items within the Lab area.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum storage period for a single project is 1 month. After this period, the user is obliged to clear out the stored items. If they fail to do so, the operator's staff are authorised to clear out and dispose of these stored items themselves, and to charge the costs associated with the clearance or disposal of these items to the user.<\/li>\n<li>Access to stored items or their release will be carried out in accordance with the operator's staff schedule and during Lab opening hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>The operator (Prusa Research a.s.) reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
